The welcome addition this year was the beach that our partners X-Leisure and British Waterways coordinated. Together with the return of the popular Dance Stage, we attracted 20,000 visitors.

Global Village Dance Stage (West India Quay)
The immensely popular annual Global Village Dance Stage appeals to all age groups who participate in a range of dances including ballroom, jive, tango, swing, salsa, charleston, lindy-hop, Latin, line dancing, sequence dances and easy moves.

Funquay Beach Weekend (West India Quay)
Free beach with deckchairs and Punch & Judy organised and supported by X-Leisure, British Waterways and DLR
Gigathon (The Space)
A 12-hour spectacular of bands, cabaret, film and open mic
Performances
Quayside Performances (West India Quay)
There was the Indonesian Promenade with the magical Sundanese gamelan orchestra Sekar Enggal and Javanese dancer Ekadamayanti hosted by Marriott Hotel.
Wandering poets from T-Bone performed their captivating verses.
Bird Stiltwalkers with participants from local circus and costume making workshops paraded as colourful mythical Indonesian and Chinese birds. With CircArts and Chinese dancer Jih-Wen Yeh from Step Out Arts.
Star dancers Shamim Ara Nipa & Shibli Mohammad direct from Bangladesh dazzled as resplendant peacocks.
Street entertainers and stiltwalkers handed out tropical garlands.
